A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to elections; specifying activities which
 2  do not constitute election assistance; and providing for an
 3  effective date.

 4 

 5  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 6 

 7         Section 1.  W.S. 22-1-102(a) by creating a new
 8  paragraph (xxxvii) is amended to read:

 9 

10         22-1-102.  Definitions.

11 

12         (a)  The definitions contained in this chapter apply
13  to words and phrases used in this Election Code and govern
14  the construction of those words and phrases unless they are
15  specifically modified by the context in which they appear.
16  As used in this Election Code:

 2              (xxxvii)  "Election assistance" does not include
 3  the posting of campaign signs or the availability of
 4  campaign materials.

 5 

 6         Section 2.  This act is effective July 1, 2001.
