State parking garage appropriation-2.

A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to construction of public facilities;
 2  providing an appropriation for the construction of a
 3  parking structure for the capitol complex; and providing
 4  for an effective date.

 5 

 6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 7 

 8       Section 1.  There is appropriated up to seven million
 9  five hundred thousand dollars ($7,500,000.00) from the
10  statutory reserve account to the department of
11  administration and information to be used for the design
12  and construction of a multi-level parking structure for the
13  state capitol office complex. The design of the structure
14  shall harmonize architecturally with the historic district
15  and the height of the structure shall not exceed the height
16  of the third floor cornice of the state capitol building.

 1  Any unused funds remaining at the completion of the
 2  construction project shall revert to the statutory reserve
 3  account. In addition, a portion of the funds appropriated
 4  under this section may be used to mitigate employee parking
 5  problems during construction.

 6 

 7       Section 2.  This act is effective July 1, 2001.
