ENROLLED ACT NO. 27, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

FIFTY-SIXTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING

2001 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT relating to public records; clarifying the
definition of "person in interest"; and providing for an
effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1. W.S. 16-4-201(a)(iii) is amended to read:

16-4-201. Definitions.

(a) As used in this act:

(iii) "Person in interest" means the person who
is the subject of a record or any representative designated
by the person, except if the subject of the record is under
legal disability or is the dependent high school student of
his parents, "person in interest" means the parent or duly
appointed legal representative;

Section 2.  This act is effective immediately upon
completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
Constitution.
