A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to the Wyoming pari-mutuel commission;
 2  authorizing pari-mutuel wagering on rodeo events;
 3  authorizing the simulcasting of dog racing as specified;
 4  and providing for an effective date.

 5 

 6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 7 

 8         Section 1.  W.S. 11-25-102(a)(v) is amended to read:

 9 

10         11-25-102.  Definitions.

11 

12         (a)  As used in this act:

13 

14              (v)  "Pari-mutuel event" means the events which
15  are authorized by the commission for the conduct of horse
16  racing (to include quarter horse, thoroughbred or other

 1  approved races), harness racing, cutter racing, chariot
 2  racing, chuckwagon racing, professional ropingselect rodeo
 3  events and simulcasting of these dog racing and the events
 4  described in this paragraph as prescribed by the
 5  commission;

 6 

 7         Section 2.  This act is effective July 1, 2001.
