Regulation of directory services.

A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to telecommunications regulation;
 2  authorizing the public service commission to regulate
 3  directory services for limited purposes; and providing for
 4  an effective date.

 5 

 6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 7 

 8         Section 1.  W.S. 37-15-104(a)(v) is amended to read:

 9 

10         37-15-104.  Services not regulated by this title.

11 

12         (a)  Except for contributions to the universal service
13  fund required pursuant to W.S. 37-15-501 and the assessment
14  levied pursuant to W.S. 37-2-106 through 37-2-109,
15  telecommunications service does not include, and the
16  provisions of this title do not apply to:

 1              (v)  Directory services, except for the purposes
 2  of requiring providers of local exchange services to make
 3  their current listing uniformly available to other
 4  directory service providers or through a national directory
 5  listings provider, and except as provided in W.S.
 6  37-12-130;

 7 

 8         Section 2.  This act is effective immediately upon
 9  completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
10  as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
11  Constitution.
