University cooperative extension services.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to
administration of government; requiring
2 separate
budget request and recommendation for University
3 of
Wyoming agriculture and home economics cooperative
4
extension services; and providing for an effective date.

6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
7
8 Section
1. W.S. 9-2-1013 by creating a new subsection
9
(f) and 21-17-305(d) are amended to read:
10
11 9-2-1013. State budget; distribution
of copies to
12 legislators; copies and reports of authorizations.
13
14 (f) The governor shall recommend within the
15 university's
budget a separate appropriation for extension
16 services
provided by the University of Wyoming in

1 cooperation with county governments pursuant to W.S.
2 21-17-305. The recommendation shall be developed in
3 accordance with W.S. 9-2-1010 through
9-2-1013 and shall
4 include funding for all university
personnel, equipment,
5 supplies, materials and other property
necessary for the
6 university's participation in that
cooperative extension
7 services program. In making this recommendation the
8 governor shall provide an estimate of
the percentage
9 contributions to overall program
funding anticipated to be
10 made
by state, federal and county governments.

12 21-17-305. County cooperation in
extension work;
13 districts; county agents.
14
15 (d) The university's budget request shall provide for
16 a
separate appropriation for cooperative extension services
17 under
this section. The university
trustees may receive
18 and expend money from any source under the
supervision of
19 the agricultural college for the purposes of
this section.

21 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2001.
