Port-of-entry officer citation authority.

A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to ports of entry; amending authority of
 2  designated employees at ports of entry to issue summons as
 3  specified; and providing for an effective date.

 4 

 5  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 6 

 7         Section 1.  W.S. 31-1-203(b) is amended to read:

 8 

 9         31-1-203.  Special enforcement officers; summons and
10  notice to appear for violations; deposit for appearance;
11  disposition of deposit.

12 

13         (b)  Employees designated under subsection (a) of this
14  section may issue summons for violations of W.S.
15  31-2-201(d)(vi), (vii) and (viii), 31-18-201(b), (k), (m)
16  and (t), as made punishable under W.S. 31-4-101, 31-4-102,

 1  31-18-802 through 31-18-805, 31-18-301(b) and (c) and
 2  31-18-701(a) 31-4-101, 31-7-106, 31-7-133, 31-18-101
 3  through 31-18-603, 31-18-701 and 31-18-801 through
 4  31-18-808.

 5 

 6         Section 2.  This act is effective immediately upon
 7  completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
 8  as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
 9  Constitution.
