A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to adult day care facilities; amending the
 2  definition of "adult day care facility" as specified;
 3  providing an exemption; and providing for an effective
 4  date.

 5 

 6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 7 

 8         Section 1.  W.S. 35-2-901(a)(xxiii) is amended to
 9  read:

11         35-2-901.  Definitions; applicability of provisions.

12 

13         (a)  As used in this act:

14 

15              (xxiii)  "Adult day care facility" means any
16  facility not otherwise certified by the department of

 1  health, engaged in the business of providing activities of
 2  daily living support and supervision services programming
 3  based on a social model, to four (4) or more persons a
 4  person eighteen (18) years of age or older with physical or
 5  mental disabilities, but does not include a private home
 6  where a family member is receiving care from other family
 7  members;

 8 

 9         Section 2.  This act is effective July 1, 2001.
