State employee pay period.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to state
employees; modifying state
2
employee wage payment dates; and providing for an effective
3
date.

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
6
7 Section 1. W.S. 9-3-101(d) is amended to read:
8
9 9-3-101. Salaries; amount; date of payment.
10
11 (d) Except for
full-time hourly employees, part-time,
12 overtime and shift differential pay and
employees and
13 officers of the University of Wyoming and
the Wyoming
14 department of transportation, state
employees and officers
15 shall for the
first fifteen (15) days of wages earned for
16 each month,
be paid on the sixteenth day of that month, and
17 for wages earned
during the sixteenth through the last

1 working day of that month, be paid on the last
working day
2 of the month for wages earned during that month.
Part-time
3 pay
shall for wages earned from the sixteenth day
through
4 the last day of the preceding month, be paid to
state
5 employees
on the sixteenth day of the current month, and
6 for wages earned from the first through the fifteenth day
7 of the current month, be paid on the last working
day of
8 the
current month.

hourly employees shall be paid in
11 the same manner as part-time employees.
Overtime and shift
12 differential pay shall be paid to state
employees no later
13 than the last working day of the month
following the month
14 in which overtime and shift differential pay
was earned.
15 The University of Wyoming and the Wyoming
department of
16 transportation are exempt from this
subsection.

18 Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2001.
