A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to the University of Wyoming; providing for
 2  the release of information contained in the Wyoming natural
 3  diversity database as specified; and providing for an
 4  effective date.

 5 

 6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 7 

 8         Section 1.  W.S. 21-17-116 is created to read:

 9 

10         21-17-116.  Wyoming natural diversity database
11  records.

12 

13  No record contained in the Wyoming natural diversity
14  database pertaining to private land shall be released by
15  the University of Wyoming without the prior express written
16  consent of the landowner. Nothing in this section shall

 1  prohibit the release of any information which would
 2  otherwise be available from any other information source in
 3  the public domain.

 4 

 5         Section 2.  This act is effective immediately upon
 6  completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
 7  as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
 8  Constitution.
