A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to commercial vehicles; providing for a fee
 2  for commercial trailers as specified; and providing for an
 3  effective date.

 4 

 5  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 6 

 7         Section 1.  W.S. 31-18-201(d)(i) is amended to read:

 8 

 9         31-18-201.  Commercial vehicles; registration;
10  exemptions.

11 

12         (d)  Applications made pursuant to paragraph (b)(i) of
13  this section shall be accompanied by an administrative fee
14  of six dollars ($6.00) for each motor vehicle, trailer or
15  semitrailer to be registered and an additional fee to be
16  computed as follows:

 2              (i)  In the case of a Wyoming based commercial
 3  vehicle or fleet, or a commercial vehicle or fleet based in
 4  a jurisdiction permitting proportional registration of
 5  similar Wyoming based commercial vehicles or fleets which
 6  will be operated under intrastate for hire operating
 7  authority granted by the department, except trailers,
 8  divide instate miles by total miles and multiply times the
 9  county fee prescribed by W.S. 31-18-401(a)(i) and the state
10  fee prescribed by W.S. 31-18-401(a)(ii), and an additional
11  fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) to the counties for each
12  vehicle to be registered;

14         Section 2.  This act is effective immediately upon
15  completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
16  as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
17  Constitution.
