Severance tax distribution.

A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to taxation and revenue; providing for the
 2  distribution of a portion of severance taxes from oil and
 3  gas as specified; repealing provision for the distribution
 4  of a portion of severance taxes from natural gas produced
 5  from certain wells as specified; and providing for an
 6  effective date.

 7 

 8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 9 

10         Section 1.  W.S. 39-14-211(b) is amended to read:

12         39-14-211.  Distribution.

13 

14         (b)  The state treasurer shall transfer the revenue
15  collected from the severance tax imposed by W.S.
16  39-14-204(a)(ii) into the permanent Wyoming mineral trust

 1  fund except for the period beginning March 15, 1988, and
 2  ending June 30, 2004 2001, during which the proceeds shall
 3  be deposited into the severance tax distribution account.

 4 

 5         Section 2.  W.S. 39-14-211(j) is repealed.

 6 

 7         Section 3.  This act is effective immediately upon
 8  completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law
 9  as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming
10  Constitution.
