Schools-physical fitness initiative.

A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT appropriating funds to the governor for the
 2  governor's council on physical fitness and sports;
 3  specifying expenditure; and providing for an effective
 4  date.

 5 

 6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 7 

 8         Section 1.

 9 

10         (a)  Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) is
11  appropriated from the general fund to the governor for the
12  governor's council on physical fitness and sports, to be
13  used by the council as provided under subsection (b) of
14  this section.

15 

16         (b)  The council shall expend the amount appropriated
17  under subsection (a) of this section for implementation of

 1  physical fitness initiative programs in Wyoming public
 2  schools. The initiative programs shall reward teachers and
 3  students for excellence in physical fitness programs and
 4  student program participation.

 5 

 6         Section 2.  This act is effective July 1, 2001.
