Joint Appropriations Committee Meeting Summary (December 3-4, 2002)

The Joint Appropriations Interim Committee met on December 3 and 4, 2002 in Cheyenne.  The Committee discussed the supplemental budget request, employee benefits, Medicaid limitation legislation, and no net new programs.  The Committee voted not to sponsor any Medicaid limitations legislation, and asked for several bill drafts for future consideration concerning employee benefits and no net new programs.

The Committee also met to review final reports pertaining to the remedy for the middle school building in Sheridan #2.  Following discussion of findings contained within the MGT review of schematic documents developed by the district, the Committee agreed to finalize project funding during January meetings for inclusion in the supplemental budget bill.  Prior to this time, and based upon Committee response, project costs will be developed by MGT in cooperation with the district.
