Joint Corporations Interim Committee Meeting Summary (November 15, 2002)

The Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee met in Casper and received additional testimony on a draft to adopt the International Code for the state’s minimum fire standards.  Several people from the propane industry urged the Committee to identify National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) pamphlets 54 and 58 in the draft.  Testimony was also received regarding plan review fees, school capital construction and regulation of health care facilities.  The Committee voted unanimously to sponsor legislation related to this issue.  The Committee also voted to sponsor campaign finance reporting legislation.  The Committee has completed its interim work and will not meet again during this interim.
