Select School Facilities Committee (August 15, 2002)

The Select School Facilities Committee met August 15, 2002 in Cheyenne.  The meeting was held as a joint meeting with the School Facilities Commission and was devoted to receiving MGT findings based upon a review and analysis of school building inadequacies as identified in 2002 legislation.  Identified school building inadequacies are located in Big Horn #1, Big Horn #4, Goshen #1, Laramie #1 and Park #6 school districts.  Recommendations for remedial action addressing the building inadequacies were presented and comments on the recommendations were received from respective school districts.  In addition, MGT provided an update on the seismic evaluation of impacted school buildings.  The Select Committee will next meet upon the call of the co-chairs and in conjunction with the School Facilities Commission.
