AN ACT relating to psychologists; providing prescriptive authority pursuant to licensure; expanding authority of the psychology board; conforming provisions; providing definitions; and providing for an effective date.

(a)  The board shall ensure through rules and regulations and enforcement that those persons licensed or certified under this act limit their practice to demonstrated areas of competence.

      (b)  The prescriptive authority of any psychologist with prescriptive authority may be exercised for any patient under the age of eighteen (18) only in collaboration with a licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician or advanced nurse practitioner.".  MEIER, CHAIRMAN
