Select Committee on Capital Financing Meeting Summary (August 25, 2003)

The Select Committee on Capital Financing and Investments met August 25, 2003 in Cheyenne.  The Committee elected Senate President Kunz as chair and House Majority Leader Luthi as vice-chair.  The Committee received information on the State revenue profile, school capital construction, the State’s family college savings program, and State investments.  The Committee requested draft legislation regarding the spending policy established for State investment earnings and on permissible investments by the State Loan and Investment Board and the State Treasurer’s Office.  The Committee will meet again this fall, but no definite date has been set for the meeting.
