FISCAL NOTE (HB0007)

 

This bill transfers the Civil Air Patrol program from the Department of Transportation to the Military Department.

 

It authorizes the Military Department to expend state funds for the purchase of:

  1. Civil Air Patrol aviation education training aids;
  2. Books and equipment;
  3. Maintenance and hangar rents of “on-loan” United States Air Force aircraft; and
  4. Maintenance supplies and equipment for a communications network for the Civil Air Patrol.

 

This bill transfers all supplies and equipment of the Civil Air Patrol owned by the state of Wyoming to the Military Department.

 

$33,541 is included in the Governor’s recommended budget to the Department of Transportation for Search and Rescue. No funding is included in the Governor’s recommended budget to the Military Department for Search and Rescue.
