This bill contains an appropriation of $400,000 from the GENERAL FUND.

 

This bill creates a teacher incentive program that will provide incentive payments to newly certified teachers who agree to teach in Wyoming elementary and secondary schools for the first 4 consecutive years following certification. Incentive payments shall be up to $3,000 per year for each newly certified teacher that qualifies for the program, not to exceed a total of $12,000.

 

The Wyoming Higher Education Assistance Authority will administer this program.
