FISCAL NOTE (HB0136)

 

 

This bill contains an appropriation of $2,400,000 from the GENERAL FUND to the Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2006.  The legislation notes that the appropriation is a one-time appropriation and will not be included within the Department’s standard budget request for the 2006-2007 biennium.

 

This bill contains an authorization of 15 Full-Time positions to the Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2006. 

 

The legislation establishes fees for application, licensure, and renewal and plan review; however, the revenue increase is indeterminable due to an unknown number of licenses that will be issued and an unknown number of building construction plans reviewed.

 

This bill has administrative impact that appears to increase (or decrease) duties or responsibilities of one or more state agencies and may impact agency spending or staffing requirements. The following state agencies will be asked to provide their estimate of the administrative fiscal impact prior to the first committee meeting held to consider the bill:
