FISCAL NOTE (SF0047)

This bill contains an appropriation of $250,000 from the Budget Reserve Account for the purpose of meeting a 5 percent state match requirement under the Help America Vote Act of 2002.  The appropriation, when required by the Help America Vote Act, will be placed into an account within the Federal Revenue Fund together with matching federal payments.  Interest earned on the account will be credited to the account.  Funds appropriated under this section will be considered one-time funding and will not be included in the Secretary of State’s Office standard budget request for the 2005-2006 biennium.  This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law.

This bill has administrative impact that appears to increase (or decrease) duties or responsibilities of one or more state agencies and may impact agency spending or staffing requirements. As introduced, the bill does not modify any state agency budget or current personnel authorizations.
