Catch Title:       State land leases.

 

Subject:  Provides amendments to state land leases for industrial, commercial and recreational leases.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Increases maximum lease term for industrial, commercial and recreational purposes from 25 years to 75 years.

 

·        Requires state land board to promulgate rules and regulations for the long-term industrial leases including provisions requiring compliance with all applicable land use planning and zoning laws, and permitting the board to terminate a long-term lease for good cause shown.

 

·        Amends definition of "recreational purposes" by adding associated residential development to the authorized uses of state land leases.
