Subject:  Increases salaries of all judges.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

 

·        Current judicial salaries are as follows:

o       Supreme Court Justices:   $105,000

o       District Court Judges:         $100,000

o       Circuit Court Judges:     $ 82,000

 

·        Subject to constitutional limitations on when salary increases can take effect, this act increases salaries of supreme court, district court and circuit court judges by:

 

     •  Approximately 3% commencing July 1, 2004; and

 

     •  By an additional amount of approximately 3% commencing July 1, 2005.
