Subject:  Authorizes specific employees of state parks and historic sites to enforce the Wyoming Controlled Substances Act under specified conditions.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Under current law, specified law enforcement officers, not including state park law enforcement officers, are authorized to enforce provisions of the Wyoming Controlled Substances Act.

 

·        This act authorizes superintendents, assistant superintendents and park rangers who are certified law enforcement officers to enforce the Controlled Substances Act within the boundaries of state parks and historic sites, or when responding to a request to assist other law enforcement offices outside the boundaries of a state park or historic site.
