Subject: Annual adjustments for plan A firemen's pension benefits.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Provides for an annual adjustment of 3% for plan A firemen's pension benefits provided the fireman has been retired for at least one year;

· Annual adjustments were previously made in accordance with salary negotiations by the local governing body;

· Authorizes up to 5% adjustment if the most current actuarial valuation indicates pension fund assets are greater than 115% of the liabilities.
