AN ACT relating to public safety; creating a contractor licensing and building construction

authority and division of contractor licensing and building construction within the department of

fire prevention and electrical safety; creating the position of chief building inspector; providing

duties and powers of the authority and the inspector; granting rulemaking authority; providing for

suspension, revocation and reinstatement of licenses; setting limitations; specifying when licensure

 is required; specifying unlawful acts; providing penalties; providing definitions; making

conforming amendments; repealing inconsistent provisions; providing an appropriation; and

providing for an effective date.
