Source of revenue increase:

W.S. 24-14-202 - Increase in penalty for non-reporters from $0.00 to $100.00. 

 

Assumptions:

W.S. 27-14-202 - Current statistics show a trend that the Division will incur 2,700 delinquent reports for FY07.  The Division is proposing a $100.00 penalty for delinquent reports.  The Division’s goal is to reduce delinquent reports by a minimum of 10% every year.

W.S. 27-14-203 - Reduction of interest penalty for past due and delinquent reporting from $50.00 minimum to 2%.

 

Assumptions:

W.S. 27-14-203 - Division’s goal is to reduce delinquent payments by a minimum of 10% every year.

Source of revenue increase/expenditure increase:

W.S. 27-14-302 - Increase premium from non-resident employers in extra-hazardous industry previously not required to obtain coverage.

 

Assumptions:

Non-resident employers in extra-hazardous industries will be required to obtain coverage from the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Division.  These employers will be of various sizes, various industries, and with indeterminable payroll sizes and timeframes in Wyoming; an accurate estimate of the increase in premium collected, or the number of claims filed, cannot be determined.
