Source of Expenditure Increase:  

Increased salary allowances for the full-time county and prosecuting attorneys and each of their full-time assistant attorneys would increase annual non-administrative expenditures by $1,982,500.  This increase would be offset by the elimination of office expense reimbursements currently limited to $93,000 per year. 

Assumptions:

It is assumed that both Niobrara and Weston counties would appoint full-time county and prosecuting attorneys effective July 1, 2006. 

It is also assumed that on average, assistant county and prosecuting attorneys are paid $60,000 per year, and that the number of assistant attorneys will not increase during the period in question (i.e., July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2009).
