New courts (this increase is provided for within the appropriation in the legislation)
Assumptions:
During the first year, FY07, it is anticipated that two drug courts will be implemented - the first court in January 2007 and the second in April 2007. In FY08, four additional courts will be added - one for each quarter plus the two implemented in FY07 bringing the total to six drug courts. Wyoming Department of Health expects a total of up to eight drug courts with funding of $200,000 each, per year. The funding for these courts has also been requested in the 2007-08 budget request for the Substance Abuse Division, within the Wyoming Department of Health budget.
