FISCAL NOTE

Under this bill, institutional scholarship commitments from the University of Wyoming and the community colleges to those students awarded Hathaway scholarships for the 2006-2007 school year may not be reduced in subsequent years.

UW estimates that passage of this bill will increase their scholarship expenditures by $460,400 per year in each of the next three fiscal years.

Passage of this bill will require the community colleges to award an estimated $428,205 in institutional scholarship funds in FY 2008 to students who would receive both Hathaway and Institutional Scholarships.
