FISCAL NOTE

This bill contains an appropriation of $1,046,198 from the GENERAL FUND.

This appropriation is intended to replace, on July 1, 2007, the unexpended appropriation previously authorized under 2006 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 35, Section 315, which would be repealed effective July 1, 2007, with passage of this bill.  The unexpended appropriation is estimated to be $463,881.  However, the increase in salaries provided in this bill exceeds the amounts in 2006 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 35, Section 315, resulting in a net fiscal impact (expenditure increase) of $582,317.

The increased salary for the five elected officials does not begin until January 2011 (FY 2011).  The fiscal impact for the salary increases of the five elected officials for FY 2011 and FY 2012 would be $267,455.
