FISCAL NOTE
This bill contains an appropriation of $1,500,000 from the GENERAL FUND.
Discussion of appropriation:
This bill authorizes the Department of Health $1,500,000 to be distributed through a competitive grant and contract process, to fund a statewide network of aging and disability resource centers(ARDC).
Below is a detailed explanation of the anticipated expenditures of the above appropriation for FY09 and FY10 for payment of competitive grants and contract processes. The expenditures are based on the costs incurred by the current provider for this activity.
The Department of Health plans to submit a State Plan Amendment to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and, if approved, some of the cost of (ADRC) services in the future could potentially be covered by federal Medicaid dollars.
