FISCAL NOTE

NON-ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT

Anticipated Expenditure Increase:

FEDERAL FUNDS

$473,606

$494,919

$517,190

Source of expenditure increase:

If this legislation is adopted, clients would receive an increase in monthly payments if enrolled in the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program called Personal Opportunities with Employment Responsibilities (POWER).  This expenditure increase can be accommodated through existing available TANF funds.

Assumptions:

The anticipated expenditure increase assumes the current caseload of 294 households enrolled in the POWER program and inflation rates of 4.5 percent factored for 2010 and 2011.  Current available TANF funding can cover these increased costs without any impact to the program.
