FISCAL NOTE

On its own, this bill will not result in a significant revenue increase from fees or require additional personnel and/or funding.  However, passage of multiple bills of this type may result in a cumulative administrative impact to the Division of Criminal Investigation.

It is anticipated that this bill will not have a significant fiscal or personnel impact to the State Auditor. The initial cost for background checks for 25 authorized positions is estimated at $975 (25 x $39 = $975). The initial cost for credit checks for 25 authorized positions is dependent upon on the contractual arrangement with the credit bureau. However, this cost is also expected to be minimal.
