Source of revenue increase:
Continuation of annual emergency fire suppression assessments when balance of Emergency Fire Suppression Account exceeds $5 million.
Assumptions:
Currently, the State Forester cannot assess counties for emergency fire suppression when the balance in the Emergency Fire Suppression exceeds $5 million. This bill will give the State Forester the ability to continue to assess counties for emergency fire suppression when the account balance exceeds $5 million.
The above estimates assume the valuations in participating counties remain at current levels, and that all participating counties continue to participate in the Emergency Fire Suppression Account.
