FISCAL NOTE
This bill contains appropriations of $11,754,306 from the
SCHOOL FOUNDATION FUND to the Department of Education.
This bill contains appropriations of $2,901,374 from the
SCHOOL FOUNDATION FUND to the Department of Education. These appropriations are
effective immediately.
This bill contains an authorization of 1 Full-Time position
and 1 AWEC position.
Discussion of appropriations:
This bill provides the
following direct appropriations to the Department of Education effective
immediately:
- Summer School -
$2,000,000 – to augment amounts contained in department budget.
- Career Technical
Education $176,374 – 1 additional FTE;
- $150,000 to establish
& fund steering committee.
- At-Risk $200,000 – 1
At-will employee required for implementation;
- $100,000 to fund study
committee.
- Distance Education -
$275,000 required for implementation of program.
This bill provides the
following direct appropriations to the Wyoming Department of Education effective
July 1, 2008:
- Career Technical
Education $800,000 – to augment amounts contained in department
budget-demonstration grant program;
- $560,000 required for
development of Career Tech Education programs.
- Instructional
Facilitator Funding $5,894,306- to augment amounts contained in department
budget-1 year appropriation effective FY2009.
- Food Services Funding
$4,500,000-to fund direct state match & qualified meal reimbursement
program-1 year appropriation effective FY2009.
