Catch Title:       TANF amendments.

Subject:  Eligibility and benefit amendments to the Personal Opportunities with Employment Responsibilities (POWER) Program.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act amends the POWER program, W.S. 42-2-103 and 104, by:

· Increasing assistance payments under the program to account for inflation since 1997;

· Providing for subsequent annual adjustment of assistance payment levels based on the Wyoming cost-of-living index for the previous fiscal year;

· For purposes of program eligibility, removing the dollar limits on vehicles excluded from assets;

· Removing the prohibition on increases in assistance payments due to increases in the family size of the assistance unit.
