Catch Title:       Domestic violence counseling period.

Subject:  Amends duration of counseling requirement in domestic violence protection orders.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Current law at W.S. 35-21-105 authorizes a court, in issuing a domestic violence protection order, to require the respondent to undergo appropriate counseling for up to 90 days.

· This act amends the above section to authorize the court to order the respondent to participate in counseling or other appropriate treatment for the term of the order of protection or any extension of that order.
