Subject:  Amending and repealing various requirements for reporting to the legislature or legislative committee.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act is the first step in a multi-year process to review and amend or repeal various reporting requirements to the legislature or legislative committees.

· Legislative committees required by law to receive various reports reviewed those requirements and modified the requirement or repealed the requirement as they deemed appropriate.

· For reports to the entire Legislature or to the LSO, the Management Council reviewed the requirement and took action or referred the requirement to an interim committee.

· Reports not considered this past interim are to be considered in the upcoming interim.

· Most of the repealed requirements were for obsolete reports.  No substantive changes in the underlying duties (other than reporting) are affected nor were reports to entities other than the Legislative branch considered.
