Subject:  Authorizes public hospitals to elect participation in the Wyoming state retirement system.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act:

· authorizes public hospitals, including county memorial hospitals and special hospital districts, to elect participation in the state retirement system;

· requires hospitals electing coverage to pay into the retirement system the actuarial cost of fund liability for service prior to the election of coverage;

· requires each public hospital, by January 1, 2009, to elect to participate exclusively in the state retirement system or in the hospital's own retirement plan.
