1. Discussion of K-12 External Cost Adjustment (ECA).

 

2. Discussion of October, 2008 CREG revenue report and fiscal profile.

 

3. Planning for December 8-12, 2008 budget hearings.

 

Please note that the Committee will plan some time during the December budget hearings to discuss Interim topics including:

 

     1. Retirement issues including COLA’s, 1% payroll contribution for retiree’s health insurance, law enforcement dispatcher’s

         retirement issues, re-assigning retirement from the Corporations committee to JAC, and retirement system investment reports.

     2. Compensation issues including salary for the 5 statewide elected officials, codification of the $40/month longevity pay,

         and an update on the classification and market pay restructuring plan.

     3. Video conferencing for small agencies for budget hearings.

     4. Funding for specialized courts (drug courts and family treatment courts).

     5. Codification of fire prevention fee’s charged to public entities.
