Source of Revenue Increase:

The proposed legislation provides for an increase in license fees from $25 to $100 per year for an increase of $75 per establishment.  The total increase of $146,175 would be to the General Fund.

 

The proposed legislation also allows for the establishment of fees for testing and inspection.  The total increase of $2,000 would be to the General Fund.

 

Assumptions:

 

The total number of establishments was estimated at 1,949.

 

Fees for testing and inspection would be detailed in rules that would cover mileage and expenses at cost for repeated return trips at the request of the establishment above and beyond the routine inspection and testing. It is estimated four to five establishments would request repeated return inspection at an average cost of $400 per inspection.
