Physical therapist licensure.

09LSO-0248.L2

FISCAL NOTE

This bill will require background checks on new applicants for physical therapy licensure. It is expected that there will be 90 applicants in 2010, 103 in 2011, and 118 in 2012.  License fees will increase by $39 each as a result of processing fees charged for background checks by Division of Criminal Investigation.  Of the $39, $15 will be deposited into the General Fund, and $24 will cover the federal fee charged for background checks.

On its own, this bill will not result in a significant revenue increase from fees or require additional personnel and/or funding.  However, passage of multiple bills of this type may result in a cumulative administrative impact to the Division of Criminal Investigation.
