FISCAL NOTE

This bill contains an appropriation of $200,000 from the GENERAL FUND to the Department of Health.

Discussion of appropriation:

$150,000 of the appropriation would be expended for the purpose of paying interest to hospitals for patients on an installment payment plan.

$50,000 of the appropriation would be expended for the purpose of administering the hospital bill installment payment plan.

NOTICE-AGENCY ESTIMATE OF ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT REQUESTED

This bill has administrative impact that appears to increase duties or responsibilities of one or more state agencies and may impact agency spending or staffing requirements. As introduced, the bill does not modify current personnel authorizations.
