Catch Title:       Liquor licensees-industry representatives.

Subject:  Providing an exception to the general prohibition on industry representatives providing items of value to liquor licensees.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Under current law, liquor industry representatives generally are prohibited from providing items of value to retail liquor licensees.

· This act provides an exception to that prohibition by authorizing malt beverage industry representatives to provide money or other things of value to support an annual community event open to the public, if the licensee has prior approval of the applicable licensing authority and:

o Is a nonprofit corporation;

o Is qualified as a tax exempt organization;

o Has been in existence for at least two (2) years.
