Catch Title:       Recreational Safety Act-amendments.

Subject:  Expands landowner protections under Recreational Safety Act.

Summary/Major Elements:

· The Recreation Safety Act, W.S. 1-1-122 through 1-1-123, provides generally that persons engaged in sport and recreational opportunities assume the risk of injury from risks inherent in the activity.  W.S. 34-19-104 provides that landowners owe no duty of care to persons using their land for recreational purposes.

· This act expands the definition of "sport or recreational opportunity" under the Recreation Safety Act to include the use of private land for vehicle parking and access related to sport or recreational use of the land.  This act also extends landowner protection to include parking and access under an easement granted to the state or subdivision of the state for recreational purposes.
