Summary/Major Elements:
- Requires an attempt to be made by the
Director of the Wyoming Livestock Board or the State Veterinarian to
locate and identify the owner of the feral livestock.
- Allows livestock to be declared feral if
the owner refuses to take possession of the livestock within 5 days.
- Provides for the removal and destruction
of the feral livestock from where they are found.
- Provides for the destruction of feral
livestock if the State Veterinarian determines the feral livestock are
likely to spread any infectious or contagious disease.
- Precludes future indemnity or payment to
the feral livestock owner if the feral livestock are destroyed in
accordance with these provisions.
- Provides for rulemaking by the Wyoming Livestock
Board.
