Catch Title:       Brucellosis surveillance program-2.

Summary/Major Elements:

• The currently brucellosis program allows for compensation for brucellosis testing of cattle and reimbursement to veterinarians performing the testing.  This bill modifies the program to also provide for spaying heifers and adult vaccinations to help in the prevention of the spread of brucellosis.

• The act modifies the compensation rate by lowering the minimum rate of $3.50 per head to $1.50 per head.  This would allow for more flexibility and discretion in addressing various numbers of livestock being tested, spayed or vaccinated.
