Discussion of Appropriation:

The $5,000 appropriation from the General Fund requires a match of $5,000 from non-state sources to be appropriated.  This results in a total allowable expenditure of $10,000 for the purposes of this legislation.

Costs for two signs for “Wyoming Veterans Memorial Highways” one for each direction, 50 square feet per sign. Estimate $30/square foot installed in the two locations yields $3,000.

The Department of Transportation should be able to fund the necessary installation and art work for these signs with the remaining $7,000 from the General Fund and non-state sources within this legislation.  Unexpended funds from the $10,000 General Fund/non-state sources will revert to the General Fund or original non-state sources.
